Be assured that you will receive a warm and friendly welcome from all the volunteers that you will meet at the museum.

Arriving

When you arrive please go to reception where you will be given helpful information to make your visit even more enjoyable. Reception is clearly marked and there is a disabled parking space just outside it. Depending on which entrance you arrive by Reception will either be immediately in front of you or on your right so it is easy to find. We have a wheelchair available if required.

Admission Price

You will pay the standard admission price but if through your disability you need to bring a carer with you, they will not be charged.

Toilet facilities

There is a disabled toilet at reception.

Dogs

Guide Dogs are welcome, and water is available for your Guide Dog on request.
Visitors dogs are also welcome so long as they are well behaved and kept on a lead at all times.

Getting around the museum

The museum buildings are all single-story and accessible by wheelchairs. Where a building is slightly raised there are ramps to use. The original RAF wooden buildings have narrow doorways and corridors but can still be used by wheelchairs.

The museum has had a major upgrade to improve accessibility for visitors with a smooth surface leading to all buildings with exhibits.
